    HISTORY   

Gary and Debra Ritter, along with Gary's parents, Irving and Arlene Ritter, began making cider in 1978.  Though a few changes have been made over the years, we still believe in old-fashioned quality and down-home goodness, so the same cleanliness and freshness go into all our products as the day we began.

We strive to use the right blend of ingredients to provide fresh, delicious products.  We enjoy having our customers watch our products being made and fill their own baskets from a wide variety of fresh picked apples.  Most importantly, we believe in providing our customers with a clean, friendly atmosphere.

You can watch Gary pressing cider while Debra bakes the pies with help from their daughters, Sally and Jill.  Earl and Gene, their son-in-laws, help out wherever they are needed.  Their grandchildren, Mathew, Gene and Alex, love to sample the products for quality and entertain the customers.  Mathew and Gene can also be seen selling feed to those who want to hand feed the animals at our petting zoo.  Although Arlene has since passed away, Irving is always ready to lend a helping hand, socialize with the customers and fix anything.

When you come by for your fall visit, more than likely someone from the four generations of Ritters' will be here to greet you.  But, if not, everyone here is family.
